The Baby Room

The Baby Room staff work closely with parents to develop a collaborative partnership, enabling us to have a smooth transition from home to nursery. We believe babies thrive when they have developed secure bonds and attachments, which enable them to gain confidence to play and explore independently. Happy and content babies learn best when all their needs are met and have developed a trusting relationship with their caregivers.

Little Rainbow Room

Our aim is to support children as they grow from a dependent toddler into an independent 3 year old. We encourage them to be active movers and eager communicators, empowering them to make their own choices. Children have plenty of opportunities to play alongside others, where adults sensitively model and encourage collaborative play by promoting turn-taking and sharing. We also provide bathroom facilities that support their readiness for potty training, helping them develop independence in self-care.

The Jigsaw Room

Our preschool team creates a nurturing, play-focused learning atmosphere where every child can flourish. We provide a diverse array of activities that motivate children to explore, express their own thoughts, and engage in problem-solving through hands-on experiences. The environments available to the children foster playfulness and curiosity, encouraging them to think deeply about their own identities in relation to others, supporting their personal development.

Outdoor Provision

We are very fortunate to have a large, enclosed garden, which gives children the opportunity to move their body freely and to explore their natural environment. Outdoor learning offers children diverse experiences which foster physical activity, promotes social interaction, and stimulates cognitive and creative thinking. Playing outside is essential for children's holistic development, providing numerous physical, social, emotional, and cognitive benefits that contribute to their well-being and future success.

We are open 51 weeks of the year, closing for 1 week between Christmas and New Year, as well as bank holidays an training days spread across the year.

Settling in

Settling your baby or child effectively with us, is vital in ensuring their long-term happiness. We invite babies & children in for short settling in visits prior to starting with us, where they will spend time getting to know us. Each child is paired with a key person from the outset, fostering a strong bond and attachment that builds trust, ensuring they feel safe and secure.

CCTV

We currently have CCTV installed in the entrance, the Baby Room and are currently outfitting the other play spaces so CCTV operates throughout our nursery for the safeguarding and protection of the children, staff and parents. Images are projected to a large screen in the office, where they are monitored by management.

Routine

Whilst we offer children lots of opportunities for free play throughout the day, we recognise the importance for having a routine to give children a sense of trust, predictability and security, helping to support them regulating their emotions and to establish healthy life-long habits. Each play space has their own routine, with meal and sleep routines being anchor points in the day.
